How E-METAR Works

E-METAR is a practical layer between METAR and D-ATIS. It helps you quickly understand likely runway operations using public data, with explicit evidence labels.

What It Solves

METAR gives weather, but not active runway operations.
D-ATIS gives operations, but is not broadly accessible.
E-METAR gives an operational runway picture from open signals.

What It Does Not Do

It does not replace official ATC clearance.
It does not claim to be a direct D-ATIS feed.
It is an evidence-based inference layer for situational awareness.

Logic Engine, Explained Simply

The engine asks three simple questions: where aircraft are actually lining up, whether wind supports that direction, and whether local airport logic suggests a known configuration.
